Full-Time Hoa ʻĀina

The Hoa ʻĀina, or “friend of the land” position works 40 hours per week at Kīholo. Hoa ʻĀina work outdoors to monitor and protect natural and cultural resources, maintain facilities, engage with visitors, and manage permitted camping at Kīholo State Park. By taking action to care for place, and respectfully sharing a stewardship ethic with visitors, kamaʻāina, and partners, Hoa ʻĀina ensure that Kīholo continues to thrive culturally and environmentally.
